PRESTON GILES SIMPSON, 29 of Memphis died Thursday, October 6, 2005. He was an Information Systems Manager for Spicer, Flynn & Rudstrom Law Firm. Mr. Simpson was a Christian, a graduate of Christian Brothers High School, graduate of Christian Brothers University with a Degree in Psychology and History with honors, a graduate of the University of Memphis with a Masters Degree in Information Technology and was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta Fraternity. He is survived by his mother, Melva Rose Gann of Cordova; father and step-mother, Paul and Carol Simpson of Germantown; maternal grandfather, Melvin E. Gann, Sr. of Houston, Mississippi; maternal great grandmother, Vannie Mae Gann of Houston, Mississippi; aunt & uncle, Jeff and Mary Simpson of New York and aunt, Vida Sue Warr of Memphis. Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary McWilliams and paternal grandparents, LaVaughan and Honey Simpson. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, October 8 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 9 at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel.
